New NFL Sunday Ticket App is a Must for any Out-of-State Student

Unfortunately, I’m a Detroit Lions fan. Born and raised in Metro Detroit, I didn’t have much of a choice, and it’s a burden that I have had to bear for longer then I care to remember. I was there for the 0-16 season and every one before. However, if there’s one thing about us Detroiters, we are loyal to our sports teams, even past the point of reason. This parody of our famous “Pure Michigan” commercials, typically narrated by Michigan-son Jeff Daniels, pretty much sums it up.

With that said, no matter their record, I am ready too cheer them on every Sunday, and religiously draft at least one Lion every fantasy season (when your favorite team is almost guaranteed to be down going into the second half it helps to know there’s a very good chance Megatron is going to haul in at least another 75 yards and a TD, trust me).

Since moving away for school two years ago, outside of the handful of prime time games the Lions played in, I have been confined to game notifications on my phone. The awesome new offer from DIRECT TV giving college students access to stream NFL Sunday Ticket has changed that, and now, for a very reasonable price, I can stream the Lion’s games all season long or any other out-of-market game every Sunday afternoon.

They are running a Holiday Special and now for only $29.99 you can have full access for the rest of the season. It’s really perfect for students, because the only thing you need is an internet connection and any device. So if you’re a masochist like me and need to watch your favorite team go down, or better yet, if your guys are still in it, jump on this deal while it lasts.
